The ILS Proton rocket is scheduled to launch the SES-3 and KazSat-2 communication satellites from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan, at 23:16 GMT, 15th July, 2011.

The launch of a Proton-M rocket carrying the Kazakh KazSat-2 telecommunications satellite and the U.S. SES-3 satellite from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan has been moved from March 31 to a later date in May

Prime Ministers of Russia and Kazakhstan on Thursday discussed further bilateral steps in the field of space research and orbital activity, including the KazSat-2 satellite project, Kazakhstani Prime Minister Karim Massimov said upon the completion of inter-governmental talks.
The case in hand is the construction and launching of Kazakhstan's second satellite for telecommunications and broadcasting.
