A new comet, C/2009 F1 (Larson), was announced by Mr. S. Larson (Univ. of Arizona) (Mount Lemmon Survey) on the 16th March, 2009. The preliminary orbital elements of the comet indicate a perihelion passage on the 24th June, 2009 at a distance of approximately 1.8 AU from the Sun.
