An International Launch Services Proton-M rocket with a Breeze M upper stage will launch the 5300 kg ASTRA 1M communication satellite  from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan at 20:44 GMT (23:44:20 MST),  5th November, 2008.
The satellite will be positioned at the 19.2 East orbital slot.

SES ASTRA, an SES company, announced today that the launch of its new satellite ASTRA 1M from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan is scheduled for 31 October 2008. ASTRA 1M will be launched on a Proton Breeze M launch vehicle provided by International Launch Services (ILS) and isthe 7th ASTRA satellite to be launched on a Proton rocket.
