Kenya's longest river has suddenly changed course, threatening the livelihoods of thousands of people depending on it for water, a regional official says.
More than 40,000 people in the African nation's southeastern region are affected by the Tana River's dynamic changes, Tana Delta District Officer Benson Karani told the United Nations Integrated Regional Information Networks.
