* Astronomy

A magnitude 15.7 supernova, 2008fd, was discovered by CHASE on the 27th August 2008, in the galaxy ESO 466-G24 in the constellation Piscis Austrinus.
The supernova is located 16".4 west and 14".4 north of the centre of the galaxy.

Position(2000):  R.A. = 21h58m09s.22, Dec. = -27°23'17".1

As yet the type is unknown.
