On May 23, at Plesetsk Launching Site, the Yubileiny small satellite was successfully launched. The satellite was manufactured by the JSC Academician M.F. Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems jointly with cooperative enterprises. Launching the spacecraft into low circular orbit was implemented in normal mode. A Russian Rokot/Briz-KM launch vehicle will put into orbit the Gonets-D1M 2, Gonets-D1M 3, Gonets-D1M 4 military satellites and the civilian Yubileyniy satellite today at 15:30 UT, from the Plesetsk space centre, in northwest Russia. The Yubileyniy satellite carries communication equipment for amateur radio operators and is designed to test new satellite avionic components.
