STS-125 mission to Hubble in jeopardy The October launch date of NASA's shuttle flight to the Hubble Space Telescope is in jeopardy because of a problem with the replacement batteries for the telescope. The telescope equipment was supposed to be loaded onto the shuttle Atlantis on Friday, with no time to spare for an Oct. 10 liftoff. That loading operation will be delayed at least 24 hours.
The space shuttle Atlantis has been rescheduled to launch at 04:33-05:39 GMT, 10 October, 2008, from the Kennedy Space Centre. The next shuttle mission to the international space station has also been rescheduled to launch at 1:43 GM, 13th November, 2008.
