Last week, NASA celebrated its 50th anniversary of existence (and spent who knows how much of our tax money) to beam a Beatles song into space. "Across the Universe" was sent via gigantic antenna across the universe to Polaris, the North Star, all thanks to the thinking of Los Angeles-based Beatles historian (and guaranteed pothead) Martin Lewis. NASA will send the Beatles song Across the Universe across the universe on Monday, the agency said. At precisely 7 p.m., E.S.T. the song will be beamed by the agencys Deep Space Network of antennas at the North Star, Polaris, which is 431 light years away. Read more
