On October 4, 2007, the Max Planck Society's Science Tunnel will be ceremonially opened in Seoul, South Korea. At the centrally located Seoul Museum of History, visitors to the multimedia exhibition are taken on a fascinating journey through the world of modern research. The exhibit, which also promotes research in Germany, will be opened on the eve of the Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business (APK), which is being hosted in Seoul this year. The opening ceremony for the Science Tunnel will be attended by more than 200 guests, including the President of the Max Planck Society, Prof. Peter Gruss and Woo-lim Kim, the Director of the Seoul Museum of History, as well as Ms. Doe-sun Na, chairperson of the Korea Science Foundation, and the Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Committee of German Business (APA), Dr. Juergen Hambrecht.
