The launch readiness review (RAL) took place in Kourou on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 and authorised count-down operations for the INTELSAT 11 & OPTUS D2 launch.
For its fourth launch of the year Arianespace will boost two communications satellites into orbit: Intelsat 11 for the international operator Intelsat, and Optus D2 for the Australian operator Optus. Both satellites were built by Orbital Sciences Corporation. They will be launched from the Ariane launch complex N° 3 (ELA3), in Kourou, French Guiana.
