Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will take the help of satellite systems to resolve the water crisis in Saurashtra region.

Researchers at Sony and the University of Alabama in Huntsville, the US, have developed a wide-angle camera that can image a 10 kilometre square area from an altitude of 7.5 kilometres with a resolution better than 50 centimetres per pixel.
Generally, the field of view of high-resolution images taken by satellite or aircraft is very tiny. So, to monitor a large area, the images are tiled like pieces in a jigsaw puzzle in order to build up a full picture.
However, this creates problems and often vehicles appear more than once if they move from one image to the next between exposures.
The new camera, on the other hand, builds an array of light sensitive chips, each one recording small parts of a larger image - and places them at the focal plane of a large multiple-lens system.
