Supernova 2007bp

A bright magnitude 15.6 Type II  supernova, 2007bp,  was discovered on the 26th March, 2007, by the  Nearby Supernova Factory  in the galaxy MCG +01-24-19 in the constellation Hydra.
The supernova is located near the centre of the host galaxy.

 Position (2000):  R.A. = 09h24m00s.55, Dec. = +05°12'25".0
