Supernova 2007av

A magnitude 15.5 supernova, 2007av, was discovered on the 20th March 2007, by Ron Arbour in the galaxy NGC 3279, in the constellation Leo.
The supernova is located 6".0 east and 15".0 south of the centre of the galaxy.

Position(2000): R.A. = 10h34m43s.17, Dec. = +11°11'38".3

As yet the type is unknown
