Michigan Man Claims Alien Life Found

A Michigan man (Duane P. Snyder) claiming to possess an ice meteorite rich in extraterrestrial organisms will announce in a news conference Tuesday that alien life, at long last, has been found. The announcement will take place at a Ramada Inn in South Haven, Mich.

Ringfort destruction

The environmental group Friends of the Irish Environment have written to the Minister for the Environment calling for prosecutions to follow the recent complete levelling of two listed ringforts by a farmer in County Cork. The ringforts were located in the townland of Knockacareagh, near Killmurray in north Cork. The farm was auctioned on 24 June, 2010. The new owner obliterated the ring forts, which were marked on maps and included in a photograph on the auctioneer's website, within a week of taking possession.

In the letter to the Minister, the group says it has confirmed with the Heritage Service of Cork County Council the complete levelling of two listed ringforts by the farmer.

Unidentified flying objects (UFO) may appear in 2011 or 2012, a Chinese astronomer has predicted.
Wang Sichao, an astronomy and minor planet scholar, made the forecast under recently-heated speculations about UFOs, as some unidentified flying objects have been spotted in several Chinese regions of Zhejiang, Hunan, Chongqing and Xinjiang since last month, the China Daily reported.

The phone company TELE2 was responsible for the badly made meteorite impact hoax, that enraged the local population and authorities. The bungled hoax eventually lost them thousands of pounds and customers.

Police raids expand bomb detector probe

Police investigating the sale of suspected fake bomb detectors to countries including Iraq have searched premises linked to three businesses.
Sites raided were linked to Global Tech, of Kent, Grosvenor Scientific, in Devon, and Scandec, of Nottingham.
Cash and hundreds of the devices have been seized, and a number of people are due to be interviewed under caution on suspicion of fraud.
The boss of another firm that sold detectors remains on police bail.

Jim McCormick, director of Somerset-based ATSC, who sold £52m ($85m) worth of fake bomb detectors to the Iraqi Interior ministry.
The ADE-651 detector contained nothing but a type of anti-theft tag used to prevent stealing in high street stores, and allowed suicide truck bombs to pass through checkpoints leading to hundreds of deaths.
