NGC 5569 (also Arp 286, MCG 1-37-3, UGC 9176 and PGC 51241) is a magnitude +13.2 spiral galaxy located 82 million light-years away in the constellation Virgo.
The galaxy is gravitationally interacting with the neighbouring galaxies NGC 5560 and NGC 5566: the trio of galaxies are listed as Arp 286 in the Atlas of peculiar galaxies by Halton Arp.

The galaxy was discovered by Anglo-Irish astronomer George Johnstone Stoney, assistant to William Parsons, 3rd Earl of Rosse, using a 182.88 cm (72 inch) speculum reflector at Birr Castle on the 26th April 1849.
