NGC 2744 (also IRAS 09018+1839, MCG 3-23-31, UGC 4757 and PGC 25480) is a magnitude +13.5 spiral galaxy located 157 million light-years away in the constellation Cancer.

The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Datchet, Berkshire, on the 21st March 1784.

Right Ascension 09h 04h 39.1s, Declination +18° 27 51"
