Rik E. Hill (Catalina Sky Survey) has announced the discovery of a new magnitude 18.5 comet on June 12, 2008. The preliminary orbital elements of comet C/2008 L2 (Hill) indicate a perihelion passage on July 27, 2008 at a distance of 2.5 AU from the Sun.
