Venus and Uranus will have a close encounter in the dawn sky of April 18th.
Look to the east, before the Sun rises and find the bright `star` in Aquarius. A pair of binoculars (or a small telescope) will show up Uranus right below it.
At 6:00 am on the morning of April 18th.
Try to find the pair on April 17th when they are separated by about one degree, on the 18th they'll be even closer together at 0.3 degrees. On the 19th the distance increases again to about one degree.
At 6:00 am on the morning of April 18th.
Viewed through a backyard telescope, Venus looks like a small half-moon. The tiny blue-green disk of Uranus will also be easy to see.
