Chinese astronaut celebrates 50th birthday in space

Jing is currently aboard China's Tiangong-2 space lab, with fellow astronaut Chen Dong, making him China's first astronaut to go to space on three separate occasions. Last week the two astronauts were sent into space to conduct a 33-day space mission.

Jing Haipeng, first Chinese astronaut to enter space three times

Chinese astronaut Jing Haipeng is about to become the first Chinese to go into space for a third time, as he was selected to be commander of the upcoming Shenzhou-11 manned space mission.
Jing will work with fellow taikonaut Chen Dong and dock with China's Tiangong-2 space lab, where they will live and work for 30 days.
