Discovery of two massive stars with a magnetic field in a binary system
A Canadian PhD student has discovered a unique object - two massive stars with magnetic fields in a binary system. Matt Shultz of Queen's University, Ontario, Canada found the system - Epsilon Lupi - and publishes the new result in Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society. Read more
Epsilon Lupi is a multiple star system in the southern constellation of Lupus. At an apparent visual magnitude of 3.41, Epsilon Lupi can be readily viewed from the southern hemisphere with sufficiently dark skies. Read more
