PSLV Successfully Launches Five Satellites from UK

In its thirtieth flight, conducted from Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota today night (July 10, 2015), ISRO's Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle PSLV-C28 successfully launched three identical DMC3 commercial Earth Observation Satellites, along with two smaller satellites from United Kingdom, into a polar Sun Synchronous Orbit which was very close to the intended orbit of 647 km height.

Five UK satellites go into orbit on Indian rocket

The Indian space agency's PSLV rocket lifted off from Sriharikota at 21:58 local time (17:28 BST).
It was the vehicle's heaviest load to date - a total of 1,440kg.

India set to launch five UK satellites

India is set to put in orbit five foreign satellites, built in Britain, to observe the earth.
The Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) - a 15-storey-high, 320-tonne rocket - will launch the satellites weighing 1440kg in what will be its "heaviest" mission ever.
