NGC 5562 (UGC 9174, MCG 2-37-2 and PGC 51227) is a magnitude +13.6 spiral galaxy located 419 million light-years away in the constellation Boötes.
The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Wilhelm Tempel using a 27.94 cm (11 inch) f/19 refracting telescope at the Arcetri Observatory on the 28th June 1883.
