NGC 1464 (also NGC 1471, IRAS 03491-1533 and PGC 13976) is a magnitude +13.8 spiral galaxy located 80 million light-years away in the constellation Eridanus.
The galaxy was discovered by American astronomer Lewis A. Swift using a 40.6 cm (16 inch) Alvan Clark and Sons refractor at the Warner Observatory, East Avenue, Rochester, New York, on the 1st November 1886.
The galaxy was rediscovered by Francis Leavenworth in 1886 and relisted as NGC 1471.
