NGC 70 (Arp 113, IC 1539, MCG 5-1-67, UGC 174 and PGC 1194) is a magnitude +13.5 spiral galaxy located 329 million light-years in the constellation of Andromeda.
The galaxy was discovered by R. J. Mitchell, astronomical assistant to William Parsons, 3rd Earl of Rosse, using a 182.88 cm (72 inch) speculum reflector at Birr Castle on the 7th October 1855.
The galaxy was rediscovered by Guillaume Bigourdan in December 1897 and relisted as IC 1539.
