NGC 6223 (also MCG 10-24-40, UGC 10527 and PGC 58828) is a magnitude +11.7 elliptical galaxy located 265 million light-years away in the constellation Draco.
The galaxy was discovered by German-Danish astronomer Heinrich Louis d'Arrest using a 27.94 cm (11 inch) f/17.5 Merz-Refractor at the Copenhagen Observatory on the 24th September 1862.
