NGC 6934 (also Caldwell 47 and Melotte 230) is a magnitude +8.83 globular star cluster located 50,000 light-years away in the constellation Delphinus.
The globular cluster was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflecting telescope at Clayhall Farm House in Old Windsor on the 24th September 1785.
