NGC 680 (also MCG 4-5-15, UGC 1286 and PGC 6719) is a magnitude +11.9 elliptical galaxy located 129 million light-years away in the constellation Aries.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Datchet, Berkshire on the 15th September 1784.
