NGC 7161 is a magnitude +6.1(?) double star or asterism located 215 million light-years away in the constellation Pegasus.
The double star was discovered by German-Danish astronomer Heinrich Louis d'Arrest using a 27.94 cm (11 inch) f/17.5 Merz-Refractor at the Copenhagen Observatory on the 13th September 1862.
