NGC 777 (also MCG 5-5-38, UGC 1476 and PGC 7584) is a magnitude +12.9 elliptical galaxy located 231 million light-years away in the constellation Triangulum.

The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Datchet, Berkshire on the 12th September 1784.

Right Ascension 02h 00m 14.8s, Declination +31° 25' 47"
