NGC 4089 (also MCG 4-29-17 and PGC 38298) is a magnitude +13.7 elliptical galaxy located 334 million light-years away in the constellation Coma Berenices.
The galaxy was discovered by Danish-German astronomer Heinrich Louis d'Arrest using a 27.94 cm (11 inch) f/17.5 refractor st the Copenhagen Observatory on the 4th May 1864.
