NGC 5092 (also MCG 4-31-23, UGC 8376 and PGC 46493) is a magnitude +13.3 elliptical galaxy located 256 million light-years away in the constellation Coma Berenices.
The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Heinrich d'Arrest using a 27,94 cm (11 inch) f/17.5 Merz-Refractor at the Copenhagen Observatory on the 12th April 1867.
