NGC 4961 (also NGC 4960, IRAS 13033+2800, MCG 5-31-126, UGC 8185 and PGC 45311) is a magnitude +13.6 barred spiral galaxy located 116 million light-years away in the constellation Corona Borealis.

The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Datchet, Berkshire, on the 11th April 1785.
The galaxy was rediscovered by Heinrich Louis d'Arrest in April 1865 and relisted as NGC 4960

Right Ascension 13h 05m 47.8s, Declination +27° 44' 03"
