NGC 4886 (also NGC 4882, MCG 5-31-82 and PGC 44698) is a magnitude +13.9 elliptical galaxy located 294 million light-years away in the constellation Coma Berenices.
The galaxy was discovered by German-Danish astronomer Heinrich Louis d'Arrest using a 27.94 cm (11 inch) f/17.5 Merz-Refractor at the Copenhagen Observatory on the 6th April 1864. The galaxy was rediscovered by d'Arrest in April 1865 and relisted as NGC 4882.
