NGC 4456 (also ESO 441-30, IRAS 12252-2949 and PGC 40925) is a magnitude +13.3 spiral galaxy located 283 million light-years away in the constellation Hydra.
The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at the Cape of Good Hope on the 30th March 1835.
