NGC 3529 (also IC 2625, ESO 570-7, MCG -3-28-38, IRAS11048-1917 and PGC 33671) is a magnitude +13.1 elliptical galaxy located 172 million light-years away in the constellation Crater.
The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at the Cape of Good Hope on the 22nd March 1835. The galaxy was rediscovered by Lewis Swift in April 1898 and relisted as IC 2625.
