All that I have been able to find out about the early history of the stone is that it was discovered in March 1921 by Mr. Rosdeutscher's father and grandfather, while plowing in a field on their farm, "where the surface had been eroded in a low place, close to the house," and that, "since that time, the rock had been kept lying around the house."

The Franklin (H5) meteorite fell in Kentucky, USA, sometime in March, 1921.
A total mass of 9.06 kg was recovered.

36° 43'N, 86° 34'W
