NGC 2927 (also MCG 4-23-16, UGC 5122 or PGC 27385) is a magnitude +12.9 barred spiral galaxy located 347 million light-years away in the constellation Leo.
The galaxy was discovered by Danish-German astronomer Heinrich Louis d'Arrest using a 27.94 cm (11 inch) f/17.5 Merz-Refractor at the Copenhagen Observatory on the 21st February 1863.
