NGC 2929 (also IRAS 09346+2323, MCG 4-23-17, UGC 5126 or PGC 27398) is a magnitude +13.8 spiral galaxy located 345 million light-years away in the constellation Leo.
The galaxy was discovered by Danish-German astronomer Heinrich Louis d'Arrest using a 27.94 cm (11 inch) f/17.5 Merz-Refractor at the Copenhagen Observatory on the 21st February 1863.
