NGC 2471 is a magnitude +12.9 pair of stars located in the constellation Lynx.
The star were discovered by Bindon Blood Stoney, assistant astronomer to William Parsons, using a 182.88 cm (72 inch) speculum reflector at Birr Castle on the 20th February 1851.
