NGC 2556 (also ZWG 119.45, NPM1G +21.0177 and PGC 23325) is a magnitude +14.3 lenticular galaxy located 213 million light-years away in the constellation Cancer.
The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Albert Marth using a 121.92 cm (48 inch) reflector at William Lassell's Tigné Point observatory in Sliema, Malta, on the 17th February 1865.
