NGC 2806 is a magnitude +10.9 star located in the constellation Cancer.
The star was discovered by Danish-German astronomer Heinrich Louis d'Arrest using a 27.94 cm (11 inch) f/17.5 Merz-Refractor at the Copenhagen Observatory on the 17th February 1862. The star was rediscovered by Danish-Irish astronomer Johann Dreyer using a 182.88 cm (72 inch) reflecting telescope on the 22nd March 1876.
