NGC 2490 (also MCG 5-19-27 and PGC 22382) is a magnitude +14.6 spiral galaxy located 311 million light years away in the constellation Gemini.
The galaxy was discovered by R. J. Mitchell, using a 182.88 cm (72 inch) reflecting telescope at Birr Castle on the 14th February 1857.
