NGC 2898 (also MCG 0-24-18, CGCG 6-48, NPM1G +02.0221, IRAS 09271+0217 and PGC 26950) is a magnitude +13.7 spiral galaxy located 163 million light-years away in the constellation Hydra.
The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Albert Marth using a 121.92 cm (48 inch) reflector at William Lassell's Tigné Point observatory in Sliema, Malta, on the 6th February 1864.
