NGC 3089 (also ESO 435-24, MCG -5-24-14, AM 0957-280 and PGC 28882) is a magnitude +12.5 barred spiral galaxy located 125 million light-years away in Antlia.
The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) reflecting telescope at the Cape of Good Hope on the 5th February 1837.
