NGC 4376 (also UGC 7498, MCG 1-32-53, GWT 42.93, VCC 787, IRAS12227 0601 and PGC 40494) is a magnitude +13.1 irregular galaxy located 52 million light-years away in the constellation Virgo.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) reflecting telescope at Clayhall Farm House in Old Windsor on the 2nd February 1786.
