NGC 2919 (also UGC 5102, MCG 2-25-7, CGCG 63-13, IRAS 09321 +1030 and PGC 27232) is a magnitude +12.9 spiral galaxy located 41.335 million parsecs (135 million light-years) away in the constellation Leo.
The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Ernst Wilhelm Leberecht Tempel using a 27.94 cm (11 inch) refracting telescope at the Arcetri Observatory on the 1st February 1877.
