NGC 764 is a binary star located in the constellation Cetus.
The double star was discovered by American astronomer Ormond Stone using a 26-inch (660 mm) f/14.9 Alvan Clark refractor at the Leander-McCormick observatory at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Virginia, on the 6th January 1886.
