NGC 2502 (also ESO 209-8, AM 0754-521 and PGC 22210) is a magnitude +12.2 lenticular galaxy located 55.77 million light-years away in the constellation Carina.
The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.6 inch) reflector at Feldhausen, Claremont, Cape Town, on the 5th January 1837
