The Argus (Melbourne) Monday 24 December 1866

A large metallic mass, resembling in appearance an aerolite, was found on the farm of Mr. Pascoe, situated near Corooran's sawmills, Bungaree, several days ago. The stranger was unfortunately broken up before it was suspected to be a celestial visitor; but the inner part, and which is represented to be in shape like a very large round boulder, has been preserved, and will be probably forwarded to the Mechanics' Institute. Around the mass the ground appeared as if it had been burned, and if such be the case it would seem as if the aerolite was of somewhat recent deposit.
