NGC 3396 (also UGC 5935, MCG 6-24-18, GWT 184.19, KCPG 249B, ARP 270, VV 246 or PGC 32434) is a magnitude +12.0 barred spiral galaxy located 75 million light years away in the constellation Leo Minor. The galaxy is interacting with NGC 3395.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) reflecting telescope at Clayhall Farm House in Old Windsor on the 7th December 1785.
